Most free audits
are a sales call in disguise.

You know the ones. A tool scrapes your site, a template turns it into forty red warnings, and the real product is the meeting where somebody explains that fixing it requires a rebuild. Nothing in the report was written for your business, because writing it for your business costs money.

We give away the checklist instead, and everything in it is a real check you can run yourself in an afternoon. This is the other thing: a day of work, six areas, your competitors pulled apart alongside you, and every finding priced against what it's actually costing you.

Charging for it is what keeps it honest. We're not recovering the cost through what we recommend, so the report is free to tell you that your site is fine and your problem is somewhere else.

Two Ways
to Start.

One of them is free and it isn't bait. Pick the smallest thing that answers your question.

Six Areas.
One Afternoon of Yours.

01. Findability

Search and AI visibility

We pull ten commercial-intent searches your customers actually use and find where you land in Google, then we ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's own AI Overview the same questions and record whether you get named. Ranking in blue links and being invisible to the answer above them is now the most common gap we find.

02. Clarity

Whether a stranger understands you

Five-second tests on your key pages with people who've never heard of you. What do they think you do, who for, and what did the page want them to do next? We report their answers verbatim, which is usually the most uncomfortable page in the document and the most useful.

03. Conversion

Why visitors leave without contacting you

The path from landing to inquiry, walked on a phone. Calls to action, forms, phone numbers, the friction nobody notices because they already know where everything is. Each finding is priced against your current traffic, so you can see what it's worth in dollars rather than opinions.

04. Speed

Performance on a real device

Core Web Vitals measured on a throttled mid-range phone on mobile data: LCP, INP and CLS, not vanity letter grades. We identify the specific files and scripts costing you the seconds, and rank the fixes by seconds saved per hour of work.

05. Trust

Whether a stranger believes you

Reviews and their recency, case studies, credentials, and the specificity of your claims. We compare what your three closest competitors show a first-time visitor against what you show them. Recency beats volume here and almost nobody is winning on it.

06. Foundations

Safe, current, and backed up

HTTPS and certificate validity, software currency, exposed admin surfaces, and whether a backup exists anywhere other than your host. Plus the credibility leaks: stale dates, departed staff, services you no longer offer. Boring, cheap to fix, and expensive to leave.

Five Days.
Then a Call.

01

You book and tell us the basics

Your URL, three competitors you care about, and your traffic and inquiry numbers if you have them. If you don't, we'll work with estimates and say so in the report.

02

We spend a day on it

Six areas, your site and three competitors, tools for measurement and a person for judgment. Findings get written as business consequences, then ranked by what would move you fastest.

03

We walk you through it live

Forty-five minutes on a call, screen shared, showing you the actual problems on your actual site. You ask questions. You keep the recording and the written report.

THEN

Two hours, on us, on the top of the list

We do the highest-value fixes ourselves in the two hours included. Not a credit toward a bigger project. Actual work on your actual site, starting with whatever the report ranked first. Most clients get their top two or three findings closed out this way.

AND THEN

Nothing, unless you ask

Two hours isn't enough to fix everything, and we'll be honest about what's left. If you want us to do the rest, we'll quote it. If you want to hand the list to your own developer, it's written so they can work from it. If you want to do nothing, the report is still yours.

Who This
Is Actually For.

Worth it if…

  • You get enough traffic that a half-point of conversion is real money
  • You're about to spend on ads and want to know the page can hold them
  • Someone told you that you need a rebuild and you'd like a second opinion
  • Competitors are showing up in AI answers and you're not
  • Your site was built years ago by someone you no longer work with
  • You need to justify a website budget to a partner or a bank

Skip it if…

  • You have almost no traffic yet, fix that first, there's nothing to audit
  • Your site is under three months old and you already know its problems
  • You've already decided on a rebuild and signed with someone
  • You want a list to hand a developer without reading it yourself
  • You're hoping we'll tell you the site is the reason sales are down. Sometimes it isn't.

If you're in the second column, say so when you get in touch and we'll tell you what would actually help. We'd rather lose $499 than sell you a document you didn't need.

Common
Questions.

Why would I pay when the checklist is free?

Because the checklist tells you what to look for and this tells you what you'll find. Running the six checks yourself is genuinely useful and plenty of people stop there. What it can't give you is your own numbers, your own competitors, and a person deciding which of the problems is worth your attention first. If the free checklist answers your question, take the free checklist. We'd genuinely rather you did.

Is this just a tool report with your logo on it?

Tools produce the measurements, and we'd be lying if we said otherwise, and you can run most of them yourself for free. What you're paying for is a person deciding which of the ninety things a tool flags actually matter for a business your size, and what to do about the six that do. The judgment is the product.

What if you find nothing wrong?

Then the report says so, you keep your two hours for something else, and you've bought certainty rather than a fix list. It's rare but it happens, usually on sites where the real constraint is upstream in the offer or the traffic. We'll tell you that too, and it's frequently the most valuable thing in the document.

Do you need access to my site?

Not for the audit itself. Almost everything is measurable from outside. We only need logins for the two hours of implementation, and only then. When we do, we'll ask you to send them through a password manager rather than email, and we'll ask you to revoke them when we're done.

What if I'm not on WordPress?

Doesn't matter. Five of the six areas are platform-agnostic, and the sixth adapts to whatever you're running: Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress or hand-built. If you're on something genuinely unusual, tell us before you book and we'll confirm we can help.

Will this turn into a pitch for a rebuild?

Only if the findings warrant one, and they usually don't. A rebuild is the most expensive answer to most website problems and roughly the fourth most effective. If a fortnight of targeted fixes gets you eighty percent of the way, the report says that, and the two included hours will have already started on them.

Can I use this to get a quote from someone else?

Yes, and some people do. The report is written so any competent developer can work from it, and the priority list is ordered by return per hour rather than by what suits us. It's your document.
